Fixture Installation That Stays Tight Behind the Wall
Our fixture installation covers the part you see and the parts you do not: the shutoff valve, the supply lines, and the drain connection under the counter or behind the tile. We install faucets, sinks, shower valves, tubs, and hose bibs for homes and businesses across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, and you get an upfront price before any work starts.
A new fixture is only as good as its connections
Fixture installation means setting a new faucet, sink, shower valve, tub, or hose bib and tying it into the water supply and the drain so nothing drips, seeps, or smells. The fixture itself is the easy part. Most leaks after a fixture swap start at a cheap supply line, a stuck shutoff, or a drain trap that was forced into place.
That is why every install starts under the sink or behind the wall. We check the shutoff, replace worn supply lines, fit the trap so it lines up on its own, and run water until we are sure it stays dry. Then we clean up and walk you through what we did.
Fixture work is one part of our plumbing services, along with leaks, repairs, and water heaters, so one crew can handle the whole bathroom or kitchen.
When a fixture is ready to go
What goes into each install
Every fixture has its own weak spots. Choose one to see how we set it, what we check before we leave, and what to sort out before the day of the job.
Kitchen, bath, and bar faucets
Single-handle, two-handle, pull-down, and wall-mount faucets. We match the new faucet to the holes in your sink or counter, or cover extra holes with a deck plate, and swap the supply lines while the cabinet is open.
If the shutoff valves under the sink are old and stiff, this is the time to change them. A faucet is only as dry as the parts it connects to.
What we check
Kitchen, bath, bar, and laundry sinks
Undermount, drop-in, farmhouse, and deep utility sinks. A new sink moves the drain, so we rebuild the tailpiece and trap to fit instead of stretching the old parts into place.
If a garbage disposal or dishwasher drain ties into the sink, we plan the drain layout around both before the sink goes in.
What we check
Shower and tub valves
The valve behind the wall controls temperature and flow. Older valves can scald or go cold when someone flushes a toilet. A pressure-balancing or thermostatic valve fixes that.
Valve swaps need access from the front through the tile or from behind the wall. We tell you which one your shower needs before we start.
What we check
Alcove, drop-in, and freestanding tubs
Tubs come with a drain, an overflow, and a spout or filler. The drain and overflow are where tubs leak into the room below, so we fill the tub and test them before anything gets closed up.
A freestanding tub needs its drain in the floor right where the tub will sit, so we set that location first.
What we check
Outdoor faucets and hose bibs
Hose bibs for gardens, wash-downs, and pressure washers. We replace leaking or seized bibs and add new ones where you need water outside.
A vacuum breaker or anti-siphon bib keeps dirty hose water from being pulled back into the drinking water.
What we check
How a fixture install goes
What changes the cost of a fixture install
No two installs are the same, so we do not post one price for everything. These are the things that move the number. Either way, you hear the price before any work starts.
The fixture type
A faucet swap under an open cabinet is a different job from a shower valve set behind finished tile.
Access
Open walls, tight cabinets, finished tile, or a crawl space all change how long the work takes.
What is there now
Corroded shutoffs, rusted pipe stubs, or a trap that never fit right get replaced so the new fixture is not tied to old trouble.
Layout changes
Moving a drain or supply line to fit a new sink or tub is more work than a same-spot swap.
How many fixtures
Several fixtures in one visit can share one setup, one shutoff, and one round of testing.
Remodel timing
Rough-in and finish visits are two trips. We plan them with you or your contractor.
Hard water, salt air, and older homes
The same faucet lasts longer in some homes than others. Across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, three things shape how we set fixtures and which parts we use.
Hard water builds scale in fixtures
Hard water reaches a lot of Ventura County taps. Minerals build up in aerators, cartridges, and shower valves, and that is often why a faucet starts to drip or lose flow. We clear the aerator at install and can point you to fixtures with cartridges that are easy to service later.
Salt air is hard on outdoor parts
Near the coast, salt air corrodes exposed metal fast. For hose bibs and outdoor showers we use brass or stainless parts and seal the wall where the pipe comes through, so the fitting does not rust out in a few seasons.
Old pipe stubs behind the fixture
Older homes often have galvanized pipe stubs or original shutoffs behind the fixture. When a stub is rusted, we replace it back to sound pipe so the new fixture is not tied to a weak point inside the wall.
Clean aerators and shower heads every few months, and turn each shutoff once a year so it does not seize.
A shower valve, start to finish
Couldn't be happier with the new shower valve installation. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free.
Fixture installation questions
Short answers to what people ask us most before a fixture job. Call if yours is not here.
Yes. Tell us the brand and model when you call so we can check that it fits your sink, counter, or wall before we arrive. If a part is missing from the box or will not fit what is there, we tell you before any work starts.
Yes. We can set valves and drains at rough-in while the walls are open, then come back to set the trim and fixtures once the tile and counters are in. We work with your contractor or directly with you.
If they are stiff or weeping, yes. A faucet swap is the easiest time to do it because the cabinet is already open. In older homes and in areas with hard water, the original valves are often the weakest part under the sink.
Your shower valve is probably an older type without pressure balancing. When a toilet refills, it pulls cold water away from the shower. A pressure-balancing or thermostatic valve holds the temperature steady, and that swap is a standard fixture installation job.
Yes. We install sinks, faucets, and hose bibs in offices, shops, restaurants, and rental units across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. For businesses, we can plan the work around your open hours.
